Belly Bandit is the result of a very insensitive comment. When founder Lori Caden was at the store, a man offered to help her take down a bag of litter from the top shelf. He then added something that really got to her: “After all, you’re pregnant.” Lori was not pregnant. She’d recently given birth to her first child, but her body still hadn’t bounced back to its pre-pregnancy shape. She was struggling to get back in shape, and the comment from the well-meaning man in the store only made it all the more obvious how hard that can be. Together with her two sisters Jodi and Kari, Lori realised that there isn’t much available for the women who struggle with their body after pregnancy. Together, the three sisters started Belly Bandit to rectify that.
